After caring for my grandkids, ages 3, 6, and 8, I try to end the day by adding a coat or two to my paintings. My technique is the old master style adding thin layers of paint to achieve the look and colour I want. I fell in love with folk art but sensed something was missing from my work. I decided to create a focal point by combining different media. One day, using my embroidery machine, I decided to place a design onto a painted canvas to see the result. BINGO! It was the missing piece of the puzzle!
