Sanela Dizdar

Artist’s Statement

My art explores the depth of emotions and special moments in life. Charcoal and pencil on canvas technique, that I developed for some time now, stands out from this colourful world and drags you in to explore my deep visual stories. Other favourite challenge in my art is ever-changing phenomena -water, while capturing its depth, movement and reflections in its fantastic macro world that remains not so noticeable in our game of life (like dew droplets on the web). Beside digital drawings I create in acrylics, graphite, oil and pastel.

My style is best described by da Vinci’s quote: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
